The culprit

Here’s a photo of the tree that took down our power lines, phone and cable, while also taking out our neighbor’s porch roof, and blocking the road. Fortunately, our neighbors had moved their cars into their driveway the night before. Unfortunately, the cars were blocked in by the tree.

No word yet on when the power company will come to fix the lines. We’re hearing that it may be 3-4 weeks.

  1. Unlike Los Angeles, trees in Louisiana grow tall and wide. In the case of this tree, really tall and really wide. This tree also took out a tall Magnolia tree on the other side of our neighbor’s property. For better and worse, we have big trees.
