Creative Review – An Augmented (Hyper)Reality

Augmented Reality is a method of superimposing digital media on the real world.  For example, you can use your iPhone as an AR device when using apps like Yelp or UrbanSpoon.  You hold your phone up, point in a direction, and the app shows you the location of stores, restaurants, bars, etc that are within a given distance of you.  Using GPS, video, and web-based databases, there’s no reason you should be want of a cold beer or a hot meal.

Here’s a very inventive take on what a hyperactive version of AR might look like.  This short film is right on point.
